Transformation
Let me tell you girls that true transformation is really possible Im living proof of it!
You better hold on to your underwear when you ask God for help. I wanted and needed more energy and I wanted to simply be Fit to Live and keep up with both my boys and our Civil Air Patrol Cadets at our Easton, Maryland Squadron. Let me tell you, this has been the busiest summer of my life. Yes, God has answered my prayers with abundant energy. Boy, did I ever need it this summer. Scuffling 15 cadets from Marylands Oceans to the Mountains in order for them to attend boot camps, flight schools, and supporting local Maryland air show events, all the while, KEEPING UP with my training schedule for the Grand Canyon! I get tired just thinking about it. But I have been truly transformed both on the inside and outside. With weight loss comes ENGERY. The energy that makes you FIT to Live! I have maintained my training schedule simply by planning! If I fail to plan, I plan to fail. Right, DR P! As much as I wanted to haul my elliptical behind our 2003 Civil Air Patrol 15 passenger van, CAP regulations simply would not allowed it. So, what is a girl to do! I planned ahead. I would simply Fall In for the morning CAP PT sessions with the cadets. Thats where the Energy thing comes in handy not to mention being a little on the crazy side. I amazed myself, my boys, and our cadets by keeping up with these teenage cadets. They may have beat me to the finish line but Girls I finished. I finished the run, the pushups, and all the sit-ups. I have even climbed the rock wall multiple times. By our third event I started hearing some of Americas Finest Young People cheering me on. Me, a 45 year old home schooling mom. They were yelling Run Forest Run! What about transformation? My outside looks fitter and slimmer. But boy is the inside cranking and jumping with joy. I knew this feeling once, that Fit to Live Feeling, that Fit to Conquer the World feeling, but it was many years ago. But only by the Grace of GOD has my life been Transformed once again. I am incredible Thankful for my transformation. All this Girl has to say this week is Science (Dr Peeke) and Faith (my Faith in Christ) has merged and has Bless me beyond my wildest dreams. As I tell my boys and our cadets, I can do all things through Christ that Strengthens me Philippians 4:13.
And to the Easton Cadets Thanks for Cheering this old girl on! I will carry you all in my heart to the wild and wonderful Grand Canyon!
